Final Fantasy VIII

Squall Leonheart and a group of his peers have just graduated to become mercenary SeeDs. When hired to protect a small town, the group stumble upon some strange activity by the neighbouring nation of Galbadia. Later, when called in by Rinoa Heartily, a member of a resistence movement against the Galbadian government, the group begins to uncover the strange plots of an overseeing sorceress. To make things more confusing, the group is plagued by dreams of a small group of Galbadian soldiers. After Final Fantasy VII, Square's hit series took a new turn merging the key features of the FF series with more realistic characters that players could more easily relate to. Also, Final Fantasy VIII featured beautiful FMV cutscenes which have become a standard for the titles.
